Public Notice
The Copyright Office, in its endeavor to increase transparency and reduce the delay in processing of copyright applications had prepared draft guidelines for examinations of copyright applications in different categories of works, viz., literary, artistic, musical, cinematograph film and sound recording works. These draft guidelines, through public notice, were published on its website on 27-02-2018 for inviting reviews and comments from all stakeholders.
The feedback received by copyright office has been examined, and relevant suggestions have been incorporated.
Accordingly, the Practice and Procedure Manual for examinations of applications in literary, artistic, musical, cinematograph film and sound recording works is being published for information to all concerned.
