Roll of Scientific Advisers
Under section 115 of the Patents Act, 1970, the Controller maintains a roll of scientific advisers for the purpose of section 115.
Eligibility Criteria
As per sub-rule (2) of rule 103 of the Patents Rules, 2003, a person shall be eligible to have his/her name entered in the roll of scientific advisers if he/she—
- holds a degree in science, engineering or technology or equivalent;
- has not less than fifteen years' practical, research or teaching experience; and
- he holds or has held a responsible post in a scientific or technical department of the Central or State Government or in any organisation.
