The Hon'ble Delhl High Court vide order dated 12.02.2018, has stayed till further orders the interim statutoty license dated 10.04.2017 Issued by the Copyright Office u/s 31D(1) of the Copyright Act, 1957 in favour of M/s. Kuku and Koyal Internet Pvt. Ltd., Ludhiana. The Hon'ble High Court passed the interim stay order dated 12.02.20M In matter tided M/s. Saregama India Ltd. Vs. Uol & Ors WP (C) No. 1155 of2018, observing the following:

"....This Court is, prima facie, of the view that such directions had to be complied in accordance with law and thus, the Registrar of Copyrights did not have the power to Issue a statutory licence, no such Ilcense could be granted.

8. In view of the above, the interim staturary tlcense, which is impugned in this petition, is stayed till the next date of heuring."
